This work may also open an avenue to screen new and novel biofertilizer agents of fungal origin and exploit symbiotic interactions of arbuscular mycorrhiza like fungi, S. vermifera, for improved performance, enhanced productivity and yield of economically important plants. The outcomes will also provide a new and novel alternative approach for enhancement of crop productivity.
