Among the crosses, MTU-1001 X JGL-1798 and (MTU-1001 X JGL-1798) X MTU-1001 recorded maximum SCMR, photosynthetic rate, NUE and yield.From the investigation it can be concluded that the cultivars with high uptake efficiency had higher nitrogen contents than cultivars with low uptake efficiency from nitrogen application.
