But unfortunately the actual condition is quite adverse, i.e. most of the school library suffers from minimum requirement to offer service in a satisfactory level. As a starting point of the academic library school library must be equipped at the minimum level in terms of the requirements of the users of the 21st century. We are living in the information society. This study is an attempt to explore the school library services offer by Visva-Bharati (a Central University of national repute). Visva-Bharati has to serve school, college and also university library users under one umbrella, lead by the University Librarian.
