As, toll-like receptor ligands, were previously found to have (antitumor and antiviral) activities, the present study was conducted to evaluate the adjuvant effect and anti-schistosomal activity of Poly(I: C)and Zymosan against S. mansoni-infection in mice. In all experiments, animals in groups of ten mice were used for assessment of adjuvant effect and anti-schistosomal activity of the ligands. The infection of animals was done by exposure to (70-90) cercariae/mouse for about two hours. Adjuvant effect and anti-schistosomal activity of the ligands were monitored by enumeration of the worm burden, the liverand intestine eggs count in day 39 and in day 49 post-treatment.
