Under the guidance and watchful eye of law enforcement officers, in a carefully laid out plan to get her and her daughter safely out of the reaches of a monster, Stacy and little Patti are moved to Skagway, Alaska. With its quaint buildings and the beautiful scenes of nature that surround it, the long-time city girl finally begins to find peace. At the same time, Chad Andrews has been sent to the small town to look into the cold case of a young woman having gone missing several years earlier. During his investigation, he begins to feel captivated by Stacy, but fights to maintain his focus on the case.
