In the U.K. the state is particularly 'hardline', and women have become marginalized and forced into looking after family homes and bearing children whilst their husbands were generally made to work in the fields or down the mines all over the country. In London a group of women have decided to fight back and led by Jessica and Maggie they begin forming pockets of resistance in the northern areas of the city. In their attempts to attack the system they risk their lives in daring attempts to break the stranglehold that the authorities have placed on them. Will they survive against the oppressive regime, or will they crumble under the power of the system? From the first gripping chapter this story unfolds over the summer culminating in a grand and audacious attempt to cause maximum damage. Can the women achieve their ambitions? They will lose valuable assets and suffer pain and heartache as the authorities fight back. They will suffer!
