I am a celiac and once my son was also diagnosed celiac, I did not want him to lose those tastes of home. I have adapted my Grandma's, Mom's, Sister's, Friends and Mother-in-law's old family recipes to be 'gluten free style'. I have enjoyed revamping and changing old and new recipes to make the baked goods have excellent texture and taste. The recipes in my books have ingredients that are easy to find in local stores. The tastes are excellent and the recipes are not complicated, YOU CAN do it!Gluten Free baking can be frustrating and the baked goods don't always turn out like the photo you found in a cookbook or on the internet. Trust me, I have had many failures along the way! I have spent a lot of time researching, taking classes, reading books and testing a lot of processes. My dietary technology background has helped me be constantly thinking about where I can add nutrients and fiber whenever possible. The tips and techniques that I share in my books will equip you to be a successful baker in your home and carry on traditions. Family gatherings seem to all start in the kitchen, whether it is a weeknight supper, Saturday morning waffles, or decorating Christmas cookies together. Our hearts know we are home because of the tastes and smells that flow from the kitchen.
