The discovery of pre-salt reserves in the Campos, Santos and Espírito Santo basins between 2006 and 2007 boosted the sector's prospects and prompted this paper to develop a quantitative analysis of the collection of royalties from the polygon fields located in the Santos Basin, which have the concession regime as their contract model: Lula, Iracema, Sapinhoá, Lapa and Iara.
