Ron Mueck: Encounter presents sculptures drawn from across the globe. Mueck's captivating figures, scaled from the minute to the monumental, embody themes such as birth and death, alienation and togetherness, tenderly inviting us to explore our relationship with the world. This illustrated publication on Mueck explores the evolution of his art practice and celebrates the development of a major new work, 'Fighting dogs' 2025. The book features an introductory essay by the curator Jackie Dunn along with detailed extracts on 15 artworks. A selection of intimate images by French photographer Gautier Deblonde document the development of 'Fighting dogs' and the artist in his Isle of Wight studio.
