The book attempts to establish a relationship among various components of urban transportation like road traffic density, accessibility and passenger car units with components of spatial urban development like spatial structure, sprawl and urban form. However, the influence of transportation in shaping urban landscape is universally accepted. It is the time to explore the possibilities of urban development from the prospective of Transport Geography. Thus, the work provides an insight to understand the pattern of spatial urban development from the perspective of road transportation. Present work is based on research entitled Road Transportation and Urban Development: A Case Study of Metropolitan Lucknow from Department of Geography, Lucknow University, India.

Autor

The author is Assistant Professor of Geography at PPN P.G. College, CSJM University, Kanpur, India. His field of research includes Transport Geography, Urban Planning and GIS. He is Chief Editor of ¿Journal of advance urban and transport system¿ and Editor in many journals. He has many research publications and academic projects to his credit.
