River is graced with ten vintage French illustrations, via the Met Museum, with a stunning introductory short story entitled: The Dream, which reflects the life of peace and romance Wolfe dreams of. Each chapter page sets the mood for the following text, with a short yet heart-warming caption to yield the senses. River's cover art is by Claude Monet, 'Argenteuil, Late Afternoon 1872'.
