Artificial Neural Network (ANN) is also introduced to train different blast design parameters and other important factors. Monitoring of ground vibration, blast-fumes, strata load and roof convergence are also considered for safety of underground workings. A new induced blasting pattern namely Staggered Ring Breakage Method (or SRBM pattern) is prescribed for effective induced caving of overhanging roof.
