Rare species is localized within a restricted area or is thinly scattered over an extensive area. Such species are not endangered or vulnerable. A critical evaluation of the 200 Taxa data sheets reveals that a regional status of the Red List categories of medicinal plants sampled in the present investigation may be very well prepared. This text has been prepared keeping in view the requirement of student and researchers in different degree awarding Universities /Institutes. I am optimistic that this book will finally achieve the objectives of its publication.
