It quantitatively compares the peak shears in a column neighborhood of infilled frame and a corresponding column of a bare frame. Masonry infill has been modeled by equivalent struts coupled with modified Bouc-Wen model. Modification of Bouc-Wen model includes stiffness and strength degradation under seimic forces. Seimic force shall be characterized by descretized records or synthetic earthquake records as base motion. The analysis has been handled by a FORTRAN program ASSDMI.
