Autor

Shahla Eltayeb is currently the deputy vice president fr research at Naif Arab University, She was the founder and director of Ahfad Trauma center in Sudan. Prof Eltayeb earned her Ph.D. from Maastricht University in the Netherlands in 2011, and possesses extensive expertise in psychology, criminology, and mental health, with a career spanning over two decades in these fields. Her proficiency is exemplified by a substantial body of research and publications featured in esteemed journals. Additionally, she has made significant contributions to various books. Moreover, Professor Eltayeb has served as a senior trainer for various UN agencies and international organizations, such as WHO, UNHCR, GIZ, and UNICEF. She has developed training packages, particularly focusing on vulnerable populations in emergency settings. Furthermore, she has received numerous research grants from prestigious international organizations aimed at enhancing mental health initiatives for vulnerable populations. These grants underscore her dedication to effecting positive change through her research, training, and advocacy efforts.   Unni Marie Heltne is a distinguished clinical psychologist and senior advisor specializing in crisis psychology. With over two decades of experience, she currently serves as Senior Advisor/Clinical Psychologist at the Centre for Crisis Psychology, University of Bergen. Heltne has held leadership roles, including Managing Director, overseeing clinical work and projects focused on stress and trauma management, particularly among children affected by war and disasters. Notable projects include her leadership in initiatives addressing family violence and developing web resources for psychosocial aid teams during emergencies. Heltne is also an educator, researcher, and Clinical Specialist in Psychology, emphasizing holistic care and follow-up at Haukeland University Hospital. Her dedication to mental health advocacy and her multifaceted contributions to crisis psychology highlight her as a leader in the field, committed to empowering individuals and communities facing adversity.   Ragnhild Dybdahl is currently seconded to Africa CDC in Addis Ababa from the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, and is also an associate professor of global mental health at the Centre for Crisis psychology, University of Bergen. She is a licensed clinical psychologist from University of Oslo and a PhD in psychology from University of Tromsø. She has worked in international development cooperation and humanitarian assistance for many years, with more than 15 years in leadership positions. Her research and practice include mental health and psychosocial support in emergencies, early childhood development, sexual and gender based violence, social determinants of health, forced displacement, and experience from Somalia, Bosnia, Guatemala, Niger, Sudan, Vietnam, France and the UK. Her previous positions include project co-ordinator for Norwegian People's Aid, Head of education and research at Norad, and Deputy head of the Norwegian embassy in Vietnam. She is also a former co-editor of the Journal on Education in emergencies.
