In many branches of industry, low temperature heads and small heat fluxes characterize operating conditions of evaporative heat exchangers. This is also relevant to installations for hydrocarbons gasification. Possible applications of miniature two-phase heat exchangers could be space heating or cooling in vehicles or buildings, microprocessor cooling, fuel cells for transport and portable cooling devices.
