The monograph is devoted to the study of the influence of linear yarn density of double-layer knitted fabric on its technological parameters and physical and mechanical properties. Products made of knitted fabric should be resistant to mechanical and physical effects experienced by the garment during wear, i.e. they should withstand repeated bending, stretching, abrasion, have the ability to stretch and restore its shape, resist the effects of light and weather, washing, etc. It is of interest to study the interaction of layers in the plane of the fabric, as it affects the parameters of the two-layer knitted fabric. The layers will not affect each other in the plane of the knitted fabric if the parameters of the constituent weaves are the same and the joining elements have equal effect on the loops of the front and back sides. The effect of one layer on another depends on the type of yarn, its mechanical properties: the more elastic the yarn, the greater the change in parameters with increasing linear density.
