Reproductive diseases (RD) are major problems in the tropics and subtropics countries. RD of cows have adverse effect on future fertility and its causes failure to produce calf per year. The aim of present study was to evaluate the prevalence of RD in 500 dairy cows belonging to F (Friesian)xL (Local) (n=342), SL (Sahiwal) x L (n=91), SLxFxL (n=67) from 10 different Upazilas of Rajshahi District were studied. The percentage of prevalence of RD viz., abortion (5.0%), stillbirth (3.6%), metritis (7.6%), pyometra (1.8%), silent heat (15.8%), cystic ovary (1.4%), inactive ovary (2.6%), vaginal prolapse (2.2%), uterine prolapse (1.4%), retained placenta (8.8%), dystocia (3.0%), anestrum (20.4%) and repeat breeding (20.2%). The present study suggests that FxL breed, 6 years of age, 3rd parity, 250 kg body weight, fair body condition, better housing, excellent feed quality, excellent rearing system, regular preventive measures, veterinarian treatment support and larger farm were significantly reduce the incidence of RD in crossbred cows as well as Penicillin, hCG, Prostaglandin, GnRH, Lugols lodine, Oxytocin and Vitamins were the most suitable drugs for recovery of RD of cows earlier.
