This book focuses on the valorization of industrial and natural by-products in the El Jadida region, a major industrial hub in Morocco. This ash is used to treat polluted effluent from the cardboard and textile industries. After infiltration in sand/clay matrices, the filtered water becomes reusable in agriculture. Filtration sludge is stabilized and solidified by integrating Portland cement fractions. The resulting mortars are mechanically and structurally characterized. The results show that the heavy metals contained in the effluent are effectively retained by the ash, and that the mortars have good mechanical properties. At the same time, an environmental study is carried out on the mortars resulting from the treatment of textile effluents, by measuring radon-222 radioactivity. The final part of the thesis explores the valorization of an invasive seaweed, Sargassum muticum, as an organic binder for raw earth mortars.
