Dr Sanjay Kumar Shukla is a world-renowned expert in Civil (Geotechnical) Engineering. He is the Founding Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Geosynthetics and Ground Engineering, published by Springer Nature, Switzerland. He currently serves as the Civil Engineering Discipline Coordinator and Founding Leader of the Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering Research Group at Edith Cowan University, Perth, Australia. He holds Distinguished Professorships at several prestigious institutions, including Delhi Technological University, India, and Southern Illinois University, USA. A Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers and Engineers Australia, Dr Shukla has authored 28 books and over 335 research publications. He is consistently ranked among the world’s top 2% scientists by Elsevier and in the top 0.5% globally by ScholarGPS. His honours include the 2025 Editorial Contribution Award from Springer Nature, 2024 Distinguished Honour by the Consulate General of India (Perth), 2021 ECU Aspire Award, and the prestigious 2018 IGS Award from the International Geosynthetics Society, USA. His groundbreaking contributions, including generalised expressions for seismic active and passive earth pressures and the innovative Shukla’s wraparound reinforcement technique, are widely applied worldwide. He is a globally respected academic leader, industry collaborator, and keynote speaker, frequently invited to deliver keynote addresses and conduct short courses internationally. Dr. Bashar S. Mohammed holds the position of Associate Professor within the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia. Dr. Bashar completed his Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Structural Engineering at Universiti Sains Malaysia and earned his B.Sc. in Building and Construction Engineering from the University of Technology, Iraq. With a research focus on sustainable construction materials, Dr Bashar has made significant contributions to the field, authoring over 170 research papers indexed in SCOPUS and writing numerous influential books. His exceptional work has been recognized through a variety of national and international awards, underscoring his impact and leadership in the field of structural engineering and sustainability. Dr. G. V. Ramana is currently working as a Professor (HAG) of Geotechnical Engineering at IIT, Delhi. He has been with IIT Delhi for the last 28 years and was the head of the Department of Civil Engineering from 2020 to 2022. He concurrently holds the Manoj Datta ‘Chair Professor’ position (2022 – 2025). Dr. Ramana received Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Troy, New York. Dr. Ramana specializes in Geotechnical engineering and Geoenvironmental engineering. He has published five books, including one well-known textbook: Principles of Soil Dynamics. Dr. Ramana has supervised 28 Doctoral students (of which 5 are faculty at other IITs). His research works are documented in over 100 reputed international journals with impact factors of up to 12 and several international conferences and national conferences. His research is consistently cited with an h-index of 31. He was the Associate Editor of ISET Journal of Earthquake Engineering for Soil Dynamics and a Member of the Editorial Advisory Panel of 'Geotechnical Engineering'. He has been a member of various expert committees at the national level and is actively involved with Industry consultancy at national and international levels and has been honoured with the prestigious designation of 'National Consultant' by the Government of Gujarat for the Kalpasar Project. Dr. R.K. Tomar is currently serving as a Professor and Head of the Civil Engineering Department at Amity School of Engineering and Technology, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida, India. He obtained his B E (Civil) from Pune University, Pune, M Tech (Environmental Engineering) from Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) Delhi and Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He has combined experience of 34 years in industry and academia in various capacities. He has authored numerous international journal papers and conference proceedings, with notable contributions in artificial intelligence-based models for solar radiation prediction, phase change material applications in building technologies, sustainable energy systems, and composite construction materials. His work exemplifies the integration of computational intelligence, experimental innovation, and sustainability principles in civil infrastructure. Under his mentorship, one Ph.D. scholar has been awarded, and four are currently pursuing their doctoral studies. Dr. Priyanka Singh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida, India. She holds a B.Tech in Civil Engineering, M.Tech and Ph.D. in Structural Engineering and has completed a post-doctoral Research Attachment Program at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia. With over 23 years of professional experience, including 18 years in academia and 5 years in industry. Her expertise spans structural engineering, sustainable construction materials and innovative building technologies. She has filed 08 patents on sustainable materials and has authored more than 100 publications in Scopus- and SCI-indexed journals and conferences. A recipient of the prestigious SERB SIRE Fellowship for an international project at UTP Malaysia, awarded by the Science and Engineering Research Board, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. She has also participated in over 35 national and international conferences, serving as Session Chair, Expert Speaker and as Technical Committee Member. She was honoured as a World Class Woman Engineer by the A. Lalitha Foundation and has contributed to social housing projects, developing economical concrete solutions for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Dr. Singh has developed the course Smart and Sustainable Construction Technology for M.Tech students, integrating AI, blockchain, and IoT applications in Civil Engineering. She currently supervises 06 Ph.D. scholars and has guided over 200 postgraduate and undergraduate students. A Lifetime Member of the ICI, IAStructE and ISTE. She also serves as an editor and reviewer for more than 20 Scopus and SCI indexed journals.
