Autor

Dr. Azhaguchamy Muthukumaran is a Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at Kalasalingam Academy of Krishnankoil, India. With over 16 years of experience teaching undergraduate and postgraduate biotechnology courses, he has made significant academic and research contributions. His primary research interests are cardiac tissue engineering, nanotoxicology, and the antioxidative applications of selenium nanoparticles. Dr. Muthukumaran has successfully led research grants funded by various national agencies to develop selenium-based biomaterials for cardiac tissue regeneration. His work is distinguished by its translational value and its emphasis on the protective and regenerative properties of nanomaterials. Dr. Muthukumaran has supervised numerous doctoral scholars in the field of selenium-based materials for cardiac applications and has established strong collaborative research partnerships with national and international institutions. His academic leadership is evident through his roles, which have played a key role in global academic quality assurance. He has served as Programme Chair for the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) for the Biotechnology programme at Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education. Dr. Muthukumaran continues to make significant contributions to the advancement of biotechnology through his interdisciplinary research, academic leadership, and dedication to training the next generation of scientists. Kasinathan Kaviyarasu is a researcher at the University of South Africa (UNISA) under the UNESCO Africa Chair in Nanosciences/Nanotechnology category. He is a emerging researcher who has made significant contributions to biomedical applications through his research in nanoscience and nanotechnology. Functional materials for bio-catalysis, tissue engineering, and hierarchical nanostructures for bio-interfaces are the focus of his research. Intriguingly, Dr. Kasinathan Kaviyarasu has contributed to several textbooks published by Springer, focusing on nanomaterials, energy conversion, biomedical applications, and environmental sustainability. Professor Hossain Uddin Shekhar is a distinguished academic at the University of Dhaka, specializing in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He did his PhD from Tokyo Metropolitan University, Japan (2003) and postdoc from United Nations University. He has extensive research and teaching experience in the areas of Oxidative stress, Cancer research, and Biochemistry.  He served as a Professor and Head of the Clinical Biochemistry and Translational Medicine Laboratory at the University of Dhaka. Over the course of his career, he has held several positions, including Assistant Professor (1995-2003), Associate Professor (2003-2007), and Professor since 2007. Since October 2024 he has been serving as the Vic Chancellor of Gopalgonj Science and technology, Gopalganj 8100, Bangladesh.. Dr. Shekhar has extensive experience of editorship with national and international publishers like Wiley, PlosOne,Springer etc. In addition to Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, he has strong interests in proteomics, signal transduction, functional food technology, and functional foods.
