Tobit model was used to estimate impacts of RWHT on household income and employment of hired laborers. The results indicate that among the variables used in the model, the variables that are significant in explaining the household income and employment generation are, availability of farmers' active labor force, household perception ,leadership status ,number of rain water harvesting structures owned, total land holding, and off-farm income activities availability.
