Since Russ is widely regarded as the nicest man in Indianapolis, the identity of his assailant is a puzzle. Dan is amazed that a smart, beautiful woman like Kim could have such toxic men complicating her life. Kim's need to help Russ with his Indianapolis 500 decorator showcase is adding to Dan's frustration. What better place for an ambush than an RV on the Speedway grounds with roaring race noise muffling any cries for help? Kim's resentment of Dan's interference is clouded by her attraction to the rugged cop. Despite his dislike of "psych types," she senses his pull to her as well. And the more time they spend together, the less Dan views Kim as just another victim. Her courage, compounded by her faith, run counter to his belief that those in danger should follow his orders, no questions asked!
