In this perspective, I am pleased to say that these two distinguished Muslim scholars whose work I have met before, have produced a book that helps non-Muslims like me to get a much clearer understanding of Muslim civilization in relation to sex education. I particularly appreciate the way in which the authors have brought together in one place a wealth of Quranic references with respect to gender and sexual relations. I hope this carefully researched study will help to promote an informed and respectful debate on a subject which concerns us all intimately by virtue of our shared humanity.
