The study is focused on the process of applying tools for quality assurance in developing textbook for primary level. In light of comparative study, analysis and benchmarking of the curricula and review of textbooks of different countries, attempt has been made to guide the process of textbook development through flow charts, fish bone diagrams, gap analysis and spider charts. The study also helps in need analysis, planning, development and evaluation of quality textbook development. Furthermore, the study provides some guiding principles which can be employed purposefully for quality textbook development at any level.
