The integrated sanitation policy of the Workers' Party (PT) represented a management model of its own in a certain sense and endowed with singularities from the point of view of the conceptual approach that marked the formulation of a public policy appropriate to the social reality of the city which, in turn, is very common to other Brazilian and Latin American cities marked by precarious housing and sanitation for a significant portion of the population.
