The study aimed to focus on the psycho-social and basic physical needs of the displaced people of Tokwe Mukosi. The results of the study showed that the main reasons behind their displacement were the problem of floods and the construction of dams which include other developments like game parks. The researcher concluded it was both a man-made and natural disaster. The researcher also found out that the loss of economic and basic physical needs water, crops, financial constraints, and property resultedin psycho-social consequences such as feelings of vulnerability, marital problems, prostitution, confusion, fear for their lives, and uncertainty.
