The main objective to design the studies incorporated in this book was to develop and validate the self-report measure of the trait emotional intelligence, and to see its relationship with marital quality. The objectives of the research were achieved in four independent studies.This book will guide the upcoming researchers regarding the procedure of scale development and the establishment of psychometric properties of a newly constructed scale. Relevance of EI with mental health and quality of marital relationship has also been discussed.
