In this book, a protocol based analysis is performed on KDD cup intrusion detection dataset which derives the relevance of features through SPSS tool and mines for classification patterns using TANAGRA and DTREG. Thus the outcome of analysis contributes for the development of efficient IDS/IRS/IPS.
