The present work was carried out to demonstrate the toxic effect of indomethacin and the protective effect of kiwifruit extract on gastric and hepatic tissues of Swiss albino mice. Our work was supported by gross examination of gastric tissues and histopatholigcal examination of both gastric and hepatic tissues. In addition, level of markers of oxidative stress were evaluated by measurement of malonaldehyde level and nitric oxide to asses oxidative damage induced by indomethacin as well as measurement of the antioxidant enzymes in both gastric and hepatic tissues. Moreover, DNA damage was evaluated by the alkaline comet assay.
