The paper points out issues on general ecology, and current ecological crisis showing the areas of conflict between religion and ecology in view of Christianity and African traditional religion as examples of five major world religions for the purposes of trying to understand the key environmental challenges are impossible for the two religions to address the crisis. Challenges facing religious tradition in combating ecological issues are summarized for better understanding.
