Since all bone components are derived from the mesoderm and have the potential to be composed of any of the four basic cell types: fibroblasts, chondroblasts, osteoblasts and the reticulo-myelogenous series, a correct diagnosis requires complementary radiologic and pathologic backdrops as well as biochemical and hematologic investigations. The present research was focused on a retrospective, observational, quantitative, risk-free, quantitative study, based on the review of files and histological reports of patients who were treated at the Hospital de especialidades "Ignacio García Téllez" CMN IMSS.
