The isothermal weight loss (X%) of urea-starch resin was investigated at temperature 175, 200, 225 and 250 oC at period of times (10,20,30,40 and 50 min.). The result shows that the amount of weight loss (X%) of urea-starch resin increases with increasing temperatures and time. The activation energy of the isothermal weight loss process during these experiments was calculated and it was varied between (25-32) kJ/mol by varying temperatures from ( 175 to 250) oC at values (2-12)% weight loss of urea-starch resin. The reaction rate constant (K) for temperatures range (175 250) oC were changed from (2-33x10-3 L.mol-1.S-1). The degree of reaction was found to be 2nd order reaction for the temperature range (175 250) oC. The average enthalpy, entropy and Gibbs free energy of reaction at temperature (298 K) was (97.163 J/mol), (192.40 J/mol) and (-57239.16 J/mol ) respectively.
