He investigates and analyses the authentic statements from British and Kurdish courts in both UK and Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Although, there are big numbers of studies on criminal texts, but still it can be argued that these texts have not received considerable attention from a pragmatic point of view especially in Kurdish as compared to English. Thus, there is an obvious need to investigate this type of texts from a pragmatic point of view. It aims at studying pragmatically the interaction between the participants of this text and investigating the strategies used by investigators to elicit suspects' confessions as well as the strategies used by the suspects to protect their positions in both languages.
