There is great need to control fungal diseases like Powdery-scab to realise the full potential of potatoes . Calcium is a key component of cell walls, helping to build a strong structure and ensuring cell stability. Calcium also improves potato finish and boosts disease tolerance . Calcium strengthens membranes which are one of the points of entry of bacterial and fungal pathogens. This research evaluated the effects of calcium on the development of powdery scab so as to reduce chemical use andimprove the aesthetic value of the tuber.
