Positive Parents' Guide - New Beginnings for New Mums, is my first in a series of short read books, enabling you to find ways to embrace your new role as a parent. Weaved throughout this book, are self-help directions on how to get the most out of being a new mum and show you the tools on how to raise a healthy, happy, calm, loving child. Starting from the very beginning with your new baby, I show you how to use an easy formula to help you get through the early stages of parenthood. These methods are what I used whilst raising mine and my husbands four children, who are now all happy, loving, well-adjusted, respectful, independent adults. Positive Parents' Guide is a practical and often instinctive set of tools; enabling you to learn what is necessary to have a happy beginning and workable future with your new baby. Throughout this book, you will read about my own experience in the early days of being a mum and by following the guidelines suggested, you will not only help your baby grow into a loving, happy child but, you will learn to be all you can be as a person at the same time. Each chapter has a Call To Action sheet designed to prioritize and streamline aspects of your life to help you focus on how to get the best out of each situation as it arises, together with stories of my beginning as a new mum. I advise on the importance of establishing a sleeping routine, as well as suggestions on settling your baby through creating a night-time ritual, enabling everyone to get a better night sleep. I have included a chapter on sharing the role of being a parent with your partner, to help develop a strong foundation for a positive and sustainable future with each other and in your new family. I give suggestions on how to plan ahead by doing small things everyday and with these steps you will soon learn how to be a great mum. From my twenty-seven years of experience as a mother of two girls who were twenty-two months apart and then twin boys, I had to learned how to make my life and everyone around me as happy, calm and joyful as possible. For the most part I succeeded ¿ I have managed to find a balance between being a good, fair and loving parent without losing myself in the process and that is my wish for you. As a family, we have traveled and lived in different parts of the world where we didn't know a soul or understand the language or the culture. All of these experiences have widened our knowledge and helped us grow as a connected, happy and loving family. Having experienced being a sole parent for a few years, raising four under the age of ten, was certainly challenging and exhausting at times, but these experiences have given me a deeper understanding on so many levels of relationships as well as the dynamics of being a parent. This is a series of short reads and the first chapter of the second book Positive Parents' Guide - Two Under Two is included in this book as a bonus. In the months that follow there will be several books released to continue your journey as a parent, learning how to get the most out of each new milestone and different circumstances as they arise in your life. This book will help you find balance and harmony within yourself and in those around you.
