This work surveyed greenhouse and noxious gas emissions control policy measures adopted by port authorities and port air pollution environmental control agencies in reducing and controlling gas emissions from trucks, rail wagons and ships operating in the port environment. Regulation for the prevention of Air pollution from ships i.e. MARPOL Annex VI". Controls for oxides of nitrogen (NOx) as well as those for oxides of sulphur (SOx) are covered.
