Polaroids is a collection of some of my most heartfelt work over the years. You will find a mix of different flavours here. It will make you feel a range of emotions, from the not-so-good to ecstasy, but above all, it will leave you with hope-a hope to live your life the way you love and a hope to find the strength within you to do it. There are tales of childhood, adolescence, and adulthood. From the feeling of a first crush to the heartbreak of losing love for the first time; the love of our parents and the complaints we harbour against them; the harsh realities of today and guidance on how to stay true to oneself through it all; a tale of a new mother, the love from a father, and much more. No matter who you are or what you believe, I hope you will find a part of yourself here, nestled in the lines of a poem or two.

Autor

Shivangi Jain is a bilingual poetess. She has been writing all her life in English and Hindi. She gets her inspiration from deep meaningful conversations with people. She feels the most comfortable in her skin when she is around nature; beaches are her favourite getaway. She is a full-time Learning and Development professional and a practising general counsellor. She holds a Master's in Counselling Psychology and a Diploma in Counselling Skills. She dedicates her spare time to conducting free counselling sessions for those who cannot afford therapy and spreading awareness about self-care and mental wellbeing by organising workshops and webinars. Shivangi believes in the power of faith and hope, and strives to live a well-rounded life.
