As a result of the work, conclusions were drawn that a proper name in Bunin's prose is capable, firstly, of attracting and combining intra-textual formal and substantive elements of a literary text in a certain way, thus creating new content, and secondly, it opens an exit to the broadest cultural field, saturating the author's text with intertexts, thus generating new meanings.
