The text book focus on the taxonomy, phyco-remediation, biofilm quorum sensing, nano-synthesis and other biotechnological application aspects of freshwater algae isolated from polluted water. Two species of algae , Coelastrella sp and Oscillatoria tenuis has been isolated and the bio-potential of the algae has been studied on different aspects and found to be a potential bioremediator and another with high clinical value.

Autor

Dr. Deepa K P, has completed her UG and PG in Botany from Christian College,  Kerala and Ph.D from Bharathidasan University, Tamil Nadu. She is a rank holder in University and her area of interest is taxonomy, biotechnology, and diversity of microalgae. Now she is working as the Assistant Professor in Botany, Bishop Heber College, Trichy, India.
