Croton Macrostachys belongs to the Genus Croton and the family Euphorbiaecae. The plant is used as traditional medicine for treatment of malaria based on Ethno botanical description. Only the dried leaf of croton Macrostachys extracted with ethanol based on traditional healer and the crude extract was active against plasmodium berghei.
