Citrus species has been mentioned in earlier text as a diuretic, astringent, febrifuge, gingivitis, stomatitis, inflammation of the tongue, laxative and cold .In the light of these observations, it was interest in the present study to focus on the pharmacognostical evaluation(standardization ) of Citrus limon is used in the treatment of psychopath, but detailed scientific studies regarding antipsychotic activity has not been reported. The present work has been taken up to investigate the antipsychotic activity from the leaves of Citrus limon Linn.
