Sotherlund's expertise in analyzing compensation structures over the past 30 years includes members of the Fortune 500, federal and state governments, colleges and universities, financial institutions, insurance companies, and research and development firms. Prior to forming Sotherlund Consulting, Sotherlund served as a Vice President, Employment Advisory Services, Inc. (EASI) and a senior consultant to the Equal Employment Advisory Council (EEAC). Her federal government experience includes serving as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Employment Standards Administration; Executive Assistant in the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs; and a Special Assistant in the Office of Policy at the U.S. Department of Labor. Her first post-collegiate position was serving as a Staff Assistant in the White House Office of Public Affairs/Communications.
