For the last thirty years plus he has been building a centre in Gerakas Zakynthos, but this book is not just about him, it is about the wildlife, flora and fauna that live on this island that are struggling to survive now that tourism is deeply rooted on the island. the problem with discarded rubbish, not just here is a massive worrying problem all over the planet and should be a concern for everybody that lives on it! The greed for money and profit are guilty of destroying wildlife faster than we can ever imagine. Just think of the Amazon forests that are being destroyed daily and not forgetting the lust for palm oil. Every living thing has the absolute right to live peacefully and safely on this planet, "not just us". We can and should all live in harmony, nature has no problem taking care of its own, so what gives us the right to decide that we can destroy the planet. We are the only species on this earth that seem to think that we have the right to do so, and we are the only ones that can save it. if we decide to ignore it, then there will be nothing for the future.
