But, the cause of global epidemics with alarming morbidity and mortality in the 21st century by highly pathogenic HCoVs like -severe acute respiratory syndrome corona virus (SARS-CoV) and Middle East respiratory syndrome corona virus (MERS-CoV) proved their emergence from animal reservoirs. 2019 novel corona virus (2019-nCoV), yet another pathogenic HCoV was recognized in Wuhan, China in December 2019 which has caused serious illness and death.
