The burnout occurs further to the chronicization of stress and unavailability of an adaptation strategy adequate to the stressors by the employed personnel. This syndrome is not known by the nurses working in palliative care services. The way it manifests itself, its effects and negative consequences on the employees' health and their activity at work are new elements for which no prevention or decreasing measures are provided.
