Pale Yellow Moon, the second book the Houllette Family Saga, continues the story of Lily Sybrant, Madeleine Houllette's daughter. This fictionalized account of the Czech and Slovak Legion in Siberia during the summer of 1918 is seen through the eyes of a little boy, Petr Swoboda, and a young woman, Lily Sybrant. As the two travel eastward along the Trans-Siberian Railroad, they share adventures with the Sixth Regiment of the Czech and Slovak Legion. All search for a route home though unbeknownst to the others because of an unspeakable act in her past, Lily has no home to return to.
