Edwin Otoniel Carranza Solís (born 22 December 1983) is a Salvadoran professional football player. He began his career through the Águila youth system and was a prominent young defender whose organization and determination gained wide admiration. During his early career, he has won three championships with C.D. Águila (2000, 2001, and 2006), won a gold medal with the El Salvador team during the Central American Games and Caribbean. After winning the championship in 2006, he was eligible to join the Salvadoran national football team, but he did not accept for he was getting married during this time. He would have return to the game early, if it wasn't for his wife being in a car accident, that left him to take care of her for several of weeks. He returned to the game as good as ever. He had a chance to be in the 2008 national selection, but he had minor abdominal pain that is reflecting on his current game.
