In order to make water treatment less expensive and more accessible in regions lacking in resources, there is a wide search for alternatives that can be used easily. The aim of this study was to verify the efficiency of the organic extract of the cactus (Cereus jamacaru) in removing the parameters turbidity, apparent color and series of solids after the process of coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation and filtration of water from a lentic system, as well as to evaluate its performance during variations in pH and electrical conductivity.
