As an unconditional lover of culture, there is a strong desire for it to receive the attention and investment it deserves to make it accessible and democratic. As an unconditional lover of culture, there is a strong desire for it to receive the attention and investment it deserves to make it accessible and democratic. Involvement during my childhood and youth in cultural movements, at school and church and in other spaces in the city allowed me to visualise the meagre investments directed towards culture, mainly for amateur projects by social groups, but with far-reaching potential. Graduating with a degree in Literature and a post-graduate qualification in Portuguese Language: a textual approach, as well as a master's degree in educational sciences and Portuguese language, allowed me to become more sensitive to culture through literature. From then on, I was able to write plays, chronicles, poetry and get involved with folklore issues in the municipality, which led me to take up a technical position in the Itaituba Culture Department. The relationships established at the Secretariat allowed me to get to know more about the socio-historical issues of this city and was my great motivation for re-signifying history through the oral narratives told by the older members of society.
